Canapé en temps de pluie (Rainy-Day Canapé), 1970 by Dorothea Tanning
I know that in this harsh economy, the lesson of DIY is more important than ever, but crafter Dorothea Tanning really should look for some tutorials on Craftzine before she tries to reupholster any more furniture. Some things are best left to the professionals.
I know that a lot of crafters are into Blythe Dolls, but crafter Hans Bellmer has really taken it to the next level! I can’t wait to see what kind of clothes he stitches up for this one!
Pollen from Hazelnut, 2002 by Wolfgang Laib
Eco-Crafter Wolfgang Laib hand sources his local pollen. But then I guess he can't figure out anything to do with it. Maybe he could dye some yarn? Or list it under "Supplies" on Etsy?
Untitled, 1955 Robert Rauschenberg,
I just love decoupage, don't you? Crafter Robert Rauschenberg made this, but wouldn't be super neat on a vintage TV tray? It would really spice up a room!
Reclining Figure 1949 by Henry Moore
Uh-oh. Crafter Henry Moore just found spoonflower.com! Can you imagine an apron sewn out of that? Yikes! Try again, Henry!
Bouteille de rhum et journal, 1914 by Juan Gris
Collage crafter Juan Gris needs to put down the glue stick and take a look at Regresty before he really embarrasses himself. Not cute.
Kitchen, 1991-95 by Liza Lou
Check out this beadwork room treatment by crafter Liza Lou! Goodness! She did go a bit overboard gluing beads to the floors, cabinets, sink, dishes... But what crafter doesn't have a little OCD? :) Probably a pain to keep clean, but I'd love to see more tutorials on this sort of thing in Craft Magazine. I'd kill for a beaded tablecloth!
Look at this soft sculpture by crafter Claes Oldenburg! Isn't it hilarious? So droopy! One of the things I love about the crafting community is its sense of humor and irony!
Check out this cute monster plushie by crafter Claire Zeisler! I love the goofy face! I don’t know if it would be a good toy for kids though, strangling hazard? Anyone know if there’s a tutorial?
